So who dunnit ?

That's so weird isn't it ?

I am amazed to note that the now acquitted Mongolian murder suspect/accused one Mr N has come out to say that he had done nothing wrong to the dead mongolian woman. Well what else would he say after being acquitted isn't it ? Anyway the now free and able to go about his life Mr N has even said that the DPM and wife was never involved in any wrong doing against the dead woman as they have never even met the dead woman before. The part that I cant stomach is the part where the now free and able to go about his life Mr N said that the DPM would make a good PM for the country in the future! Ha-ha!! Tell me pigs can fly and I will believe you on this score. Anyway, I am not certain that the present DPM is the best person to helm this country in the future. Lets just say that I am not convinced with this man and his track record. Remember how this man was waving his keris about in 1987 ? Remember what he had said then ?
Anyaway,Mr N what has your acquittal got to do with the DPM being a good and capable PM in the future ? Why raise it during your press statement ? Just curious lah! Why never say all this when you were in prison before huh ? Just wondering lah! Care to explain ?
The AG in not appealing Mr N's acquittal should personally come out and face the world. He should explain in detail as to the reasons for not appealing the decision to acquit. I am not convinced that the AG's decision is the correct one here.
Just wondering here.....now that Mr N is acquitted, does this mean that the 2 remaining accused persons in the trial decided to murder the poor woman for no reason ? Did they just wake up one fine day and decide to kill the poor woman and use C4 on her to dispose off her body ? Why lah ? Looks like we have to wait and see what happens when the defence is given their day in court.
Hmmmmm............ The mystery just gets better everyday!

Did he say he bribed ? Part 2

Is the truth all lies ?
Well it appears that the story about the new CJ's admission in the NST report recently that he had bribed court staff is not going away. This is despite the fact that the new CJ has made clarifications that he had never bribed anyone. It seems that the lawyer cum MP Karpal Singh had lodged a police report against the new CJ. The said MP is also believed to have said that there is a recording of the interview that the new CJ gave to the NST. He claims that the CJ was reported correctly to have said that he had bribed court staff in the past. He further says that the CJ had lied when he made his clarifications later. As a matter of fact the said MP has given a 7 day ultimatum for the new CJ to quit being the CJ for the lies! He says that a judge that is incapable of telling the truth cannot remain as a judge. You know what.... I am with Karpal on this matter. There are many issues in the past that I may have not have agreed with Karpal but this is certainly not one of them. I also say that if the CJ had indeed lied then he has no business being a judge. Plain and simple. We expect a higher level of integrity and honesty from the man that occupies the highest judicial office in the land. If it is proven that the CJ had lied then he can no longer occupy that high office.
Now that there is a police report filed against the CJ.... question is......will the police siasat ? Will it take more than 1 year to habis siasat ? Another question to the UMNO chaps is this : You chaps so quick to lodge a police report against the Penang Govt for the "Kings of tennis" fiasco but why in the new CJ matter......all is very silent ? What....cat got your tongue is it ? Tennis game you people make report but about the new CJ you people buat tak tau! Which is more important ?
Only happens in Malaysia I guess!

How efficient is the AG's chambers ?

Well done sir! So very efficient!

I wonder no more as to why the AG and his team receives so much flak these days. Just see how they are only now bringing charges against a certain opposition exco member after more than a year! The charge against the Exco man is "abetting in obstructing a public servant from doing his job". Wah.....one year to finish investigating before deciding to bring charges against the present exco man. So efficientlah Mr AG. One more thing....I heard you forgot to name the persons the exco man had abetted! Why ah? After one year of investigating still no clue ah ?
Now the police , according to reports took 8 men to arrest the exco man. Wah so efficient also. Why so many ah ? Why cannot just send 2 ah ? So typical! Send 8 flers to go do a simple job. Aiyah why just didn't call him via the phone and tell him to go to court ? Oh ya ... save phone bill hoh. Sorry I forgotlah!

No appeal ? Why ?

Why ? What on earth is going on ?

I heard the most bizarre news a few moments ago. The AG has decided not to appeal Razak Baginda's acquittal ! I simply cant begin to understand this decision. According to news reports it is because " the verdict was made based on facts" ! Most bizarre! Why lah ?..... it just does not make sense at all.

Is there more to this story then ? It appears that all the conspiracy theorists out there will be saying "See I told you so"!. Does this mean then, that the two UTK chaps just woke up one fine morning and decided to blow someone up ?

Sham! I say this decision by the AG is a Sham and nothing else. This is ridiculous!

And the Dunce Award goes to......

Yup that is exactly what you deserve!
From now on I will be awarding "The Dunce Award" to people who I think make utter fools of themselves when opening their mouths. This award shall be given whenever there is a deserving individual/individuals that I think have shamed Malaysians the most for the month.
And the nominees for the inaugural dunce award for the month of November 2008 are :-
a) The Home Minister for his "lets close the police beat base in chow kit" blooper;
b) The new law minister for the " yes they were sacked, no they were not but rather sacked with pension!" blooper;
Drum roll please........................................
And the winner is......... both of them! Its a tie! Lets award both these jokers with the inaugural Dunce Award! I think they both deserve the award.
Cheers,

UPSR results are out !

This was me many moons ago !

Today I am going to lay off politics. Today I am writing in honour of all the primary school kids who received their UPSR exam results. The reason why I write is this; this morning I was in my son's school to see how my son fared in the said exam. FYI my son is studying in a Chinese medium school. The moment I entered the school compounds I saw some parents there who were crying. I guess they were either not too happy with their children's performance or maybe they were tears of joy.I don't know. Anyway not wanting to be accused of being a "kay poh" I left and walked to the place where the results were displayed.
Again I saw some very sad faces. To be honest I was anxious as to my son's results. Maybe that explains why I only saw sad and crying faces then! Having literally pushed everyone that was in my way, I then peered at the notice board looking for my son's name. In what seemed liked an eternity I finally chanced upon my son's name. It was ok. To be honest this was my first time for being so anxious of someone else's results, other than mine!!! This was definitely a first for me. I guess I have to brace the fact that I am going to face moments like this many more times in my life in the future! Oh Dear !
Anyway,I am one person who never seemed to do well in exams before. Quite simply put, you could say that I was a very poor student, with poor studying techniques to boot. I guess you could say that I was the student that every diligent teacher would not have in their worst nightmare! Ha-ha!!! I always left studying to the last moment and needless to say I was ill prepared most of the time; And I never learnt my lesson right till I finished law school!
Well needless to say I am haunted till this day of nightmares of having to face exams the next day! Its true! I still wake up in the night every now and then......all sweating and shivering fearing exams are the next day! Aiyoh!!!
Anyway... the point I am making is this. All you boys and girls out there if you happen to read this....STUDY SMART! Don't be like me. Another thing I must hasten to add here is this.... never let anyone say you are a failure just because you did not get that string of A's or that first class honors degree. All that pieces of paper do not mean a thing at the end of the day if you are corrupt and seriously lacking in proper moral and ethical conduct. I believe it is what you do with your life and how well you live it..... more important than all that A's on pieces of paper put together! Dont believe me ? Just look at our so called leaders and see how well they behave ! Ok, ok I said no politics today! Ha-ha-Ha!!!
Cheers,

Leadership by example!

An UMNO meeting in Seremban under way ?

I cant help but smile, when I read about how the UMNO's amazing race for its new leaders are under way. Accusations of money politics, booing, punch ups and even "threatening SMS es" ! Even our Honourable Home Minister is alleged to have been involved in money politics. What a shame ! In fact, what a ridiculous state of affairs! Mind you this is the very party that is supposed to lead this government of ours.
I guess the very "able" leadership of this government of ours is reflected by the on going race for positions within the UMNO hierarchy. The mad scramble now is actually going to produce the very leaders that are going to lead this nation in the near future!
Just read the papers everydaylah. No need for elaborations. Just see how these people conduct themselves. Just read about how these so called "leaders" behave.
I say - Bright future we have with these people in charge !

Did he say he bribed ?

Nah ....ambil sikit duit kopi ! Ikhlas ni tau...!

Over the weekend I kept thinking as to what I read in the NST on saturday morning. It was an interview that was conducted with the new Chief Justice Tan Sri Zaki @ The former UMNO lawyer. I quote from the NST........"What I am telling you is not fiction but based on my own experience in private practice," he said at an integrity convention here.Recalling an incident in 1987, Zaki said he was "blacklisted" when he complained to the chief registrar of two missing files belonging to his clients."It took me six months to be nice, to bribe each and every individual to get back into their good books before our files were being attended to."That was my personal experience, and I am telling this to all the clerks and all the registries to stop this nonsense and I know this is happening, even as late as last week... a lawyer came to see me."He added that the clerk asked the lawyer to come the next day to collect the file after saying "tapi jangan lupa, ya", signalling him to come with cash. - New Straits Times, 8/11/2008 -Stop it now, corrupt court staff warned ".
Wow ! The new CJ just admitted to the whole nation that he had indulged in corrupt practices in the past. The last time I checked on the law this is an admission that he had given a bribe in the past. And the last time I checked there is no statute of limitation with regards to criminal offences in this country.
Does this mean that some concerned member of the public.... let say.... from UMNO ( since they say they are the only true champion of the rakyat) is going to lodge a police report against the new CJ for corruption ?Will the police investigate the offence committed (if any) ? Will the AG/ACA then prosecute the man ?
As the latin saying goes " Res Ipsa Loquitor - The things speaks for itself" ! No elaborations needed lah!
Cheers

I am happy today!

Yes ! I am happy today!

I am happy today. Maybe there is hope after all.Two reasons why I am so chirpy today. One, I am relieved that the High Court in shah alam has decided to release RPK from the dreaded ISA. I am informed that the learned judge had remarked that the detention to be "unconstitutional". Well done Judge! I am glad to note that there are at least a few judges left in the Judiciary that will do the right thing instead of being beholden to the executive. Today we Malaysians can be proud that there is some glimmer of hope in the Malaysian judiciary. This is welcome news indeed! To the Honourable Home Minister I can say only this. Please Sir for the sake of the country...... retire/resign and forever be gone. You have been very wrong on numerous occasions before. We do not need you to be in charge of the country's internal safety and well being. What the country needs is more leaders like Datuk Zaid and not the likes of you!
The second reason I am happy is that Mr Barrack Obama has been elected to be the president of USA! Yes!!!! I am very happy indeed. I don't know what is in store for the world as a result of this historic win...... but at least one thing is for certain.....Race politics have seen the end days. We can now emulate the Americans in at least one aspect. Let us choose our leaders based purely on merit and credibility. There is a new order in the world today and we Malaysians better wake up to the possibility of a better Malaysia should there be an end to race politics. In fact I would hasten to add that we Malaysians must strive hard to make race based politics to be a thing of the past.
Cheers everyone!

Race supremacy !

Are you confused as well ?
I read the comments that the DPM made yesterday. He has assured the Indian community that the government is serious about solving the woes of the said community. Well done Sir. I say all Malaysians in this country should be given the assurance that all irrespective of race and religion would be cared for equally. Anyway the government's verbal assurance given to the Indian community is appreciated. More importantly is that all the verbal assurances are actually made a reality. No point talking about wanting to do something, when one is not sincere and committed to making such assurances a reality.
I don't know if the assurances given are going to materialise and actually make the plight of the Indians in this country better. I tell you why I have my reservations. The former de facto Law Minister Datuk Zaid remarked lately that the "Ketuanan Melayu " was a failure. I tend to agree with him. Not only do I agree with him but I dare say that the Federal Constitution does not say anything about "Ketuanan Melayu". I sincerely believe that there are no "tuan" in Malaysia. We are all afforded equal rights as per the Constitution. The Malays are given some special rights but that does not make them "tuan". We are all Malaysians first and foremost. We must all work together to make this country great. If we start talking about who is master and who is not, then this country is doomed to failure.
Datuk Syed Hamid Albar has demanded that the former law minister Datuk Zaid apologises for his remarks. He even called the man a traitor to his own race! Oh dear .......!
Cukuplah Datuk Syed, Cukup! Enough of the racist policies that continue to divide us Malaysians. We do not need people like you in the government. You are an embarrassment to this nation. What the country needs are more people like Datuk Zaid to be in the government and promote better unity and understanding among the races.
Didnt Hitler try to promote the "Aryan supremacy" race concept and fail ? Are we going to emulate Hitler and be doomed to failure ?
