Me in the morning.......after reading the papers!"Only the roof fall down what! Nobody die okloh!". This is how I felt the papers had reported the stadium collapse in Terengganu. Where was the outrage? Where were the reactions from the people condemning the collapse? Where were the calls for someone to be accountable? Why were the contractors not named in the reports? Who were the architects? Why no police report made by the MB of Terengganu to investigate the fiasco? Why the PWD didnt do anything for a year? Why no CF?
So many questions.......ah.... but this is Malaysia what! All those things not important. What is important according to the MB of Terengganu, is for a "study" to be conducted into why the roof collapsed. He was also reported to have said that foreign experts must be called in for a "second opinion" on the collapse. He is reported to have said " This way we can compare the findings of the foreign experts with that of the consultants hired by the PWD, to ensure the findings are consistent and ironclad". What a load of bollocks! Just more excuses to spend money I think.
The Deputy Higher Education is reported to have said " When I saw the damage on TV, I was shocked as this was where I was supposed to have been". Dear god........What is wrong with these people?
I don't knowlah....we Malaysians have gotten used to things falling apart I think. We are just so immune that to think otherwise would be considered abnormal. After all its just an empty stadium that collapsed...not like people died or anything right? Not like people go holding candles in the night right? That one cannotlah! This one "cari makan" what? Why you so busy body one?
