Why so slow ?

What's taking you guys so long ?

I simply cannot understand why it is taking the Police SO LONG to finish their investigations into the Anwar sodomy allegations! There I said it. It is simply absurd. I have done cases pertaining to sexual offences many a times before this. So I guess I am a little qualified on the subject. As I said I can't understand why the police is labouring this long to finish their investigations into the matter. In fact the way I see it and with due respect, I dare say this; sodomy would be one of the most easiest cases to solve. I may be a little cocky here when I say that I would be able to wrap up investigations into this matter within a week. I am serious. No jokes!

In law there are a few matters to be established(in a nutshell). First and foremost was there penetration ? If there was, can it be proved by medical evidence ? Thirdly the victim's testimony i.e is it credible ? Then you look for other corroborative evidence like independent witnesses, pictures if any of the victim after the sexual assault, presence of semen and the like.

In my humble view the police/AG should have a firm view whether to press charges in the Anwar matter by now. It is rather very strange and I dare say a ridiculous state of affairs should the police be still investigating after so long. The alleged perpetrator is a well known figure... no mystery here.... so tunggu apa lagi ? DNA ? To me this is a non issue since the police already have Anwar's DNA profile from before.

I say charge him or otherwise just close the IP papers!

This stupid episode in Bolehland must STOP!

Thumbsdown for the MSM !

I dedicate the above picture to the local MSM !

Sad, rather sad ! I read the local papers and no mention of the medical report by a certain doctor regarding a certain Saiful chap. It is as if the local media has got a muzzle over the mouths suddenly. Strangely, when you make allegations against someone the reports are quick and damning; especially if that certain someone is a member or perceived to be of the "opposition". But strangely again when there is a hint/possibility that the allegations are false or not true, the local MSM media just goes very quiet; and at most mere token reporting. Apa sudah jadi ?

Moving on then,I tell you another reason why I call the PM Mr Fip Flop. In the Terengganu car fiasco he said no way... cannot use Mercedes Benz only Perdanas. Then he later says can uselah BUT only to ferry foreign dignitaries around. But those little devils in Terengganu openly defy him by using the cars for their day to day use. Then Mr PM goes quiet again on the matter.

I wonder time and again why no one takes him seriously and then when I look at his "flip flop" ways, I wonder no more.

Cheers,

M V Nathan

Was it all a lie ?

All lies ? Was he or wasn't he sodomised ?

Well Malaysiakini and Malaysia Today has reported that a certain chap named Saiful was never sodomised on the day he went to see the Doctor. It is reported that the chap had no tears/bleeding/scars in his anus. It appears that this doctor conducted the examination some four hours before the lodging of the police report. Some say the good Doctor also has done a Subramaniam, in that he has since gone missing!

Macam mana ni ?

Why cant it be just Malaysian unity ?

You make up your own mind as to what this picture represents.

There are certain politicians these days that talk openly about wanting to forge better Malay unity. It appears that UMNO wants to sit down with its political nemesis PAS so that it can lead to better unity amongst the Malays. The argument here being the better the Malays are united the better Malaysia will be in the near future. Me just say... Duh!!!!

I cant disagree more with this sort of reasoning. After 51 years of independence why are we still talking in terms of Malay, Indian, Chinese or whatever, whenever we talk about unity and progress ? Why can we just say Malaysians? Why can we just identify ourselves as simply Malaysians first ? Is it really that difficult to do ?

I would have thought that in a world that is shrinking by the minute we would have matured into thinking that we Malaysians would have to work together to move ahead; especially so in the present difficult economic climate. I would have also thought that our politicians would be emphasising and reemphasising the need for better unity amongst all Malaysians irrespective of race and religion. There are no two ways about it. Our survival as a nation depends on it. I dare say that it would be simply suicidal if our politicians fail to realise this very important fact. We as a nation are doomed to certain failure if we fail to address this matter with an open heart and complete sincerity.

Strangely I cant help but make this remark in closing. When PAS works closely with DAP the MCA jumps up and down making all sorts of remarks. Strangely when UMNO makes moves to forge better ties with PAS the MCA is suddenly very quiet. What happened MCA ? Lost your voice or simply being very obedient ?

Moving on to the Mercedes Benz fiasco up north, I spoke to a friend who has been driving a Perdana V6 since 2004. I asked him what would he have spent on maintainece of his car since 2004. He swears that he has spent more or less about RM10,000.00 on maintaining his car since 2004. His car has clocked something like 130,000 odd KM todate. when I told him the figures bandied about by the Terengganu State government, this was his exact words.... ABSURD!!!

Need I say more ?

Cheers,

M V Nathan

How did he become MB of a state ?

Ssshh!!! Please be quiet. State assembly in progress!

I just don't get it how this monkey actually got elected as a representative of the people. Not only did he get elected to the state assembly but he also becomes the MB. Really sad state of affairs.
Who was I referring to you ask ? You know wholah. His face is on every front page of the local newspapers. Now he says the purchase of Mercedes Benz cars are his ingenious idea on how to save the Rakyat's money!!! He is quoted to have said this " I have to think of how to save the Rakyat's money". If that is how this chap who is running a state thinks then we the ordinary folk have to better watch out. Maybe he should let the thinking to someone else. To add insult to injury he has said this of his 18 year old Mercedes Benz car " Kalau bini cantik buat apa tukar ?" Say what....? How on earth anyone allowed him to run a state is beyond me. No wonder we lost the "PB island" to the kiasu fellows down south! We have people like these in the administration.
Moving on to that murder trial that continues to baffle the nation. I must declare that I definitely find it very odd and difficult to comprehend why the prosecution and the defence team would want to oppose the application by counsel Karpal Singh. Very strange indeed. For a variety of reasons, I would have thought that either the prosecution or the defence would have supported the application. Bearing in mind the principle of "sub judice" I shall stop here on this issue.
Sometime I think I need to down dua biji panadol before I read the morning papers!
Pening kepalalah !

"Benz maintenance cheaper than Perdanalah!"

"Perdana more expensivelah !!!

I cant help but laugh when I read about how the Terengganu Government is trying to justify its move to buy 14 Mercedes Benz (E200) estimated to be at a cost of RM3.42 million. They are saying that they have detailed proof of the service and maintenance of the Perdana cars. They are quoted to have said that maintenance of just two (2) cars since 2004 had come up to RM175,229 and RM132,357 respectively ! Wow ! Amazing isn't it ? Just where did they send their cars for service ? Japan or what ? Anyway,The rakyat here suffering and barely coping with all the price hikes and these monkeys want to buy Mercedes Benz cars on the Rakyat's expense!
Putting that aside I cant help but laugh when the PM no less was quoted to have insisted that Anwar gives fresh DNA samples to facilitate investigations. Dear Mr PM I don't think you have a clue as to what you are talking about! I am no DNA expert but I know that once you have done the DNA profiling of someone then it is a permanent record. You don't have to take fresh samples for DNA profiling every time. Mr PM you see it works like your blood group to put it crudely. Once you know your blood group then that's it! No need to take fresh samplelah every time. Anyway, wasn't all this done in 1998 ? Takkan rekod sudah hilang kot?
It appears that there is a very interesting issue brewing up north. The issue of road signs are getting some people all worked up in Penang. Some insist only Bahasa Malaysia can be used for road signs. They are even quoted to have said that the PR state government "not to play with fire in the matter". Of course these remarks come from the opposition in that statelah. My views are very simple on this. The more signs there are the better for the rakyat. If it helps the Rakyat get around then so be it. Are we not living in Malaysia touted to be "truly asia". So if we want to be truly asia then what is the big deal in having road signs in more languages than one. Penang being a major tourist destination can only benefit from having road signs in more than one languagelah! Hello you oposition politicians in penang so free one ah? Nothing to do is it?
Anyway that's my take on today's news. Till tomorrow then.
Cheers,

I dont get itlah!

Justice through the eyes of politicians ?
Isn't it just weird ? I just don't get it. A man who is accused of sodomy is given so much coverage and airtime by the mainstream media. What's with that ? Look the way I see it there are far more important things for us to be worried about. The least should be about whether a 61 year old man got a hole in one on a youngster. So sorry to be crude here but its true.
I would have thought the police, ACA and the AG's chambers would have been more interested in the Lingam tapes fiasco. In that case the judiciary from the top down has been accused of some very serious charges. Didn't the Royal Commission make recommendations to investigate a number of prominent people in that fiasco ? Hello, what happened ? Why suddenly no more interest in that case any more ah? If all have forgotten, the judiciary today is at its lowest point. It is of paramount importance that we have this issue in the fore and not whether someone buggered some one else. The Judicial institution has been buggered, sodomised and raped that today it has lost all its former shine and glory. Instead of talking as to how we are to redeem the lost shine and glory of the Judiciary, today we are so caught up in the new sodomy allegations against that Anwar chap.
I say all our efforts should be concentrated on how to bring the people who were responsible for destroying the judiciary to book. We must insist that these people are sent to prison for a long time if proven guilty. The sodomy charge against Anwar pales in comparison to the charges of sodomy against the judiciary!
What say you ?

Anwar arrested !

Arrested againlah...

Let me declare by writing this for the record. I am no fan of this Anwar chap! There I said it. Having said that I have to state for the record that I also do not agree with how the police have arrested him yet again. I am not sure why he has been arrested for this time around. I guess it must be something to do with that "liwat" caselah.

I watched last night's Buletin Utama over TV3. There was this interview/press conference where the Federal CID Director Datuk Bakri Zinin had said that Anwar has until 2.00 pm today (16/7/08) to report to the city police headquarters to have his statement pursuant to S112 CPC recorded. So now that you boys have arrested him, I guess you boys have to record a S113 statement from him instead.

Anyway, the problem here is this. Why need to arrest him at his house at about 1 pm ? The deadline you gave the man had not expired. Is it because the clocks in Bukit Aman or city police head quarters is actually faster than the clocks in the rest of the country. Or maybe these places have different time zones as compared to the rest of the country! That would actually explain many things...Hmmmm.....

The point here is thislah! You cakap kasi sampai pukul 2 tapi pukul satu sudah tangkap. This in my book is one of the reasons why I have so much distrust in the police these days. You boys just cant keep your word can you ? Cakap tak serupa bikin!

Just wondering here... Other people get implicated in murder, bribing judges and what not tapi tak kena tangkap also.... Why ah??? Maybe pending investigationslah kan? Hmmmm.......

Malaysia Boleh!!!

What the devil is going on ?

Aiyoh! Kasi orang takutkah ?

I don't know about you all, but all the roadblocks set up by the police since the weekend is really annoying. What are these people up to ? Are they trying to create a level of fear in the people ? Why are they behaving like this ? So ridiculous I tell you.
Come off it all you boys in the blue. Stop taking orders blindly from the chaps in "power". Look you boys in blue are supposed to be the lead enforcement agency in upholding the rule of law in this country. If that is the case then stop being a mere political tool of the "powers that be in this country". You are here to make people feel safe and not the other way around! I believe you boys in blue are also supposed to maintain peace, public order and national security. All that you are doing presently is to create chaos and public disorder. If you boys have not noticed there are major traffic jams in and around the city centre today. You boys are causing more damage to the economy of this country then all the protesters that "plan" to go to parliament house possibly ever could.I wonder if there ever was such a plan in the first place ?
Even if a few thousand people were to assemble and shout themselves hoarse at Parliament house; how is it going to affect the security of this nation ? To create a chaotic situation in the city by having all these roadblocks on a Monday morning is definitely not in the cause of "National security"! This is an absurd state of affairs. Shame on you!!!
Whose interests, security and peace are you actually protecting ?

Najib wants to be PM

I can be PM what!

Well it appears that loony times have struck yet again here in Malaysia. The DPM is so happy that the PM has so much confidence in him. The PM has even publicly declared that the DPM is going to be the PM in 2010, i.e 2 years from now. The PM has also said that he will not lead BN in the next general elections (maybe that is not such a bad thing!!!)

Mr PM I don't know how you can endorse the DPM at this present moment. Look it says a lot for your administration. Maybe all the people who have been accusing you of sleeping on the job were right after all. Look Mr PM, if you don't know, the DPM has been accused in a very, very serious manner in the Altantuya matter. If you do not know also the matter has yet to be resolved too. There have been all sorts of allegations against the man. The only proper thing to do would have been to endorse (if at all) the man once he has cleared his name.

Look I take the PM's office to be a very important office. You basically govern the country and be its primary captain. At the moment the captain to be has been alleged of certain wrongdoings. I would think that the captain to be has to clear his name before he is handed the reigns to run the country. He cannot be endorsed now!Not in the present circumstances!!! How is anybody going to "siasat" him now without any fear or favour?

All this public endorsing of the DPM at this point in time seems to trivialise the serious allegations levelled against him. What kind of message do you think Mr PM this is going to have on the lower ranks in government. It also gives the nation the impression that it is ok to be accused of wrongdoing so long as you are "one of us". Maybe the words integrity, honesty, accountability and the rule of law are just that; mere words.

I say the DPM has to go on leave of absence until he is actually cleared. There are no two ways about it. Anything that falls short of this would make nonsense of the principles for natural justice, fair play and the rule of law.

Sad state of affairs in the nation.

Nice one !

Someone sent me the following via e-mail. Thanks Mr C for the mail. Please find enclosed the "Malaysian Dilemma".
The cycle of missing goes like this in Malaysia ; Get Vietnamese workers, dogs missing. Get Bangladeshi workers, Malay girls missing. Get Indonesian workers, money missing. Get Indian workers, jewellery missing. Get Chinese workers, husbands missing. Call the police, the evidence goes missing, Call the lawyers, the judge go missing, Call the ministry of transport, the reports go missing Change the government, funds go missing, I you Say something and you may be missing. Ha-ha good one !

Sharks you say ?

Barisan leaders are sharks ?

Well it appears that our Datuk Seri Yong Teck Lee has been reported to have described unnamed BN leaders as sharks! Wow !~! What a description. Well Datuk I cant agree with you more on this point. In fact I would say this. The entire BN government presently are comprised of sharks. We the people are like the poor seal in the picture above. Datuk, may I ask you this; when you were a cabinet minister were you a shark ? Hmmm....
Anyway, on another matter it is good to note that our Mr Flip flop i.e PI Bala has been located. I wonder where he is presently? The government has denied any complicity in his "disappearance" . I wonder why would anyone want to make such startling revelations by way of an SD just to subsequently retract it! Strange, very strange indeed! And after all the SDs hilang leaving the country in suspense. Hmmm....Malaysia ini macam-macam ada!
Seriously, I don't know about you, but this is how I feel about this Bala issue. I say since there are serious allegations against the DPM then it is only right and proper that the DPM takes leave of absence pending investigations into the matter. In fact I would say that it would be the most honorable thing to do in the circumstances. There can be no two ways about it. Due process has to take place and the law has to be applied equally across the board. Any investigations made into the truth of the SDs must be made without fear, interference nor favour. Only an impartial investigation would ensure that justice is done in this matter. As the saying goes" Justice must done and must also be seen to be done ". Anyone care to disagree ?
Question now would be; would the DPM go on such leave of absence pending investigations ?
Hmmmm....

Slander act of treason says PM

PM hard at work !

The PM has declared that slander is an act of treason. He was referring to recent events I am sure. Well i guess in a way he is right. The only problem here is that he did not clarify as to who is the guilty party. He did not specify who committed slander and in turn had committed treason against the country's peace, stability and prosperity. I wonder who he is referring to ? So many suspects here. Hmm...... Siapa dia Mr PM ?

That aside, all the mainstream media had carried reports of the recent "PROTES" meet in Stadium Klana Jaya. Our beloved DPM is also reported to have said that protests wont solve "grievances". He is further reported to have said that we need solutions and not demonstrations. "What can be achieved by demonstrating ?If you want to express yourselves in such a manner, then we can never address the problems". Ha-Ha! this chap very funny I tell you.Look I guess the people are protesting because you and your government have failed in your duties and obligations to the people. People are fed uplah! They cannot cope and that is why they are voicing their grievances. They cannot understand why you have to increase fuel prices in such a drastic manner for example. Why couldn't your government stagger the increase over a period of time. They cannot understand how the government that claims to care could have taken such drastic measures without consulting them first. And that is the reason why they were protesting. What, you think all that people had nothing else to do over the weekend is it ?

Look genius,I am sure they thought you would hear the noises that they made over the weekend. Obviously you and your merry men are not hearing again. Didn't you people learn anything from 8/3/08 ?

Finally what do you mean if no one million people then the protest was a failure? Boss, next time don't let the police carry out their "routine" exercise to coincide with the demonstrationslah. Next time don't try to scare people from attending such gatherings. Maybe then you would have seen the one million people on the streets. If you are lucky might just see three million!

Cheers,

M V Nathan

Justice by instalments ?

Please stop the Bollywood drama!

I just don't get it with this chap. He says he has more evidence of wrong doing. In fact he has been saying this for a long time now. Every time he releases some "new" information to the public he says he has some more. The other day he was even quoted to have said "... evidence will come, you just be patient, in the next few days, hopefully…it’s like the VK Lingam video tape, cannot be..dia kena ada like a series of bollywood drama…’".

Bollywood drama ? My dear DSAI please stop all this nonsense. Look, you are aspiring to be the Prime Minister of this country one day. Well and good for you. Well should you want to lead this nation to better times than my humble advise to you is to buck up. In my book you do not instill any confidence by making remarks/statements like that. For heaven's sake if you have any real credible evidence of any wrongdoing against any person then please REVEAL all NOW. Please stop all this stupid drama. All totally unnecessary I tell you. In the Altantuya murder for example, poor Ms Altantuya really did die if you do not know. And die she did in a very brutal way. She was someones mother and daughter should you also not know. If you have any real direct evidence of any conspiracy/plan to subvert justice in that case then for heaven's sake please REVEAL all now! And please do it all at one go and not in instalments as you are doing now. To politicise something like this is low. Very low in my books.

I had such high hopes for the PR but now..... I dont knowlah! Dua kali limalah!

All you politicians out there, just grow uplah!

Annoyed today,

Sometimes the answers are in the pictures !

Wah ! Why so tension brother ?

Wah! So nice and smiling one !
I think sometimes pictures speak/say so much more than SDs ever can. These were the pictures that were taken when the SDs were revealed. Pictures courtesy of the Star newspaper.Maybe the mainstream media is good for something after all.
A picture captures a particular moment in time. I guess what I am trying to say here is that it is all in the bodylanguagelah! Sometimes when you pose for pictures you are very tense. Sometimes you take pictures you are all smiley and happy.

Maybe the answers are here in the pictures. Which picture do you think best reflects "duress" ?

Cheers and don't forget to smile,

Hello main-mainkah?

We are totally screwed mate!

What on earth is going on? It appears that Private Investigator Bala has now retracted his SD!!! Read all about it here and be amazed. Be very amazed.http://www.bernama.com/bernama/v3/news.php?id=343795 What on earth is going on ? One day make SD then another day make another SD retracting the earlier one. Hello apa main-mainkah ? What the devil is going on ? I hope they arrest this chap soon and get to the "bottom" of this conflicting SD story. If he had made a false SD then the full brunt of the law must be unleashed on this idiot. Apa main-mainkah?

I have also "been reliably informed" by the newspapers that the Stock exchange was suspended yesterday. The whole day of yesterday! Wah what timing ya! The conspiracy theorists would be having a field day tying recent events together. Hmmmm.... very interesting this one!

The other thing that worries me is when I read the news yesterday that the police and the army were having joint exercises together. The powers that be were quoted to have said that we have to be ready for any eventualities. That scary word "emergency" was also used in the news report! I wonder what on earth is going on. Jangan main-main oh!

Very strange few days we Malaysians have had. The plot thickens by the minutes and seconds now. So hard to keep up with the latest. If we didn't have the internet or the SMS I don't know how we would be coping!

Yo all you politicians who tak da lain kerja, just stop it!

Cheers,

M V Nathan

More SD revelations !

So cute!Malaysian politicians taking a picture together ?

Well just when the embers from the first Statutory Declaration had hardly cooled, we Malaysians are hit with another Statutory Declaration. This second SD in my books is a little less explosive than the first one. But explosive none the less!Nothing muchlah here in the second SD. Just the usual sex, corruption,City of Paris again, harassment, police, more sex and the like. We Malaysians are getting hit left, right and center with all kinds of things these days. What can I say ? We certainly live in interesting times.

In this new SD there are allegations that a certain Ms Altantuya was having/formerly had a sexual affair with the DPM. Anyway, The DPM has come out denying all these fresh allegations levelled against him. This time he was a lot more quicker too I dare say. Maybe he had learnt a lesson or two from the last time. Who knows about these things anyway ?

Lets recap here again, first there was a SD against the DPM and wife. Then we had allegations of sodomy against that Anwar chap. By the way the DPM says he met the poor alleged victim of sodomy days before the victim lodged the police report against Anwar. Why ah? No other person's shoulder to go crying on ah? Anyway then we have the new SD against the DPM regarding his alleged sexual affair with Ms Altantuya. Anwar has also lodged police reports against the AG and the IGP. They are now being investigated by that very efficient institution called the ACA which happens to have the AG as the boss to okay any prosecutions against anyone. So fun isnt it ? Like a merry go round. I siasat you, then you siasat me.

Wow! With all these allegations/investigations going back and forth, I wonder who is actually running the country ? Are we on auto pilot ah ? OH Dear, Hope we don't crash land any time soon!!!

I wonder time and again, when will we Malaysans ever be dished out with the truth in anything?

Maybe the truth has gone out of fashion with time ?

So bosan,

M V Nathan

What now Malaysia ?

The look of an average Malaysian these days ?
Aiyoh, so much going on in the country these days. I don't know how to react to the news anymorelah. Simply mind boggling, frustrating and mostly infuriating! So much to digest, so much to understand. Nothing seems to make much sense these days.. Arghhhh!
Firstly we had the results of the 8/3/08 elections. It was touted as a political Tsunami! Then we had the fuel hikes and the usual crap that follows such hikes. Then the explosive statutory declaration by one Raja Petra clearly got everyone talking and speculating. Of course it didnt help when the persons implicated in the said SD took an unusual amount of time to deny the allegations. If that was not enough we also had racist members of parliament / state assemblies mouthing their usual vile and venomous remarks getting people all worked up. Then some Menteri Besar up north in Kedah wants to cut up all the trees in a water catchment area and reasoned that he was entitled to do exactly that since all the trees there were gifts from god!Talk about warped reasoning. Anyway, If that was still not enough, now we have the same old allegations of sodomy levelled against a certain politician called Anwar.
Wow! We Malaysians surely have it good. We have so much to talk about when we have our teh tarik at the mamak stall. Our rich cousins down south never have it quite so good. How they must look at us with envy! The "cerita-cerita" that we have in Bolehland is better than any season finale episode of "Desperate hosewives" I tell you!
Now these latest allegations against this Anwar chap has me thinking... How old is this Anwar chap ?Hmmmm... Right! I have been "reliably informed" that this Anwar chap is about 61 years old. He is also well documented to be having a bad back. Now what are the allegations against him now ? Oh ya... right sodomy! Now I am no expert on the subject but common sense would have it that in order to sodomise someone else, there must have been some kind of force exerted on the other in attempting to carry out the act. That is unless if the other was actually a willing and obliging partner. Then I guess you would have no problems in getting "a hole in one"!
Now coming back to this Anwar chap, he is said to have sodomised a 23 year, healthy, well built chap against the wishes of the said 23 year old. No harm there right ? Hmmmmm.... I dont know about youlah but somehow I find it difficult to accept/believe that despite this Anwar chap's age and having all that back problems, he had some how used/mustered/exerted enough force/strength to actually perform the act in question on the said 23 year old victim. How lah ? Bolehkah ? Did the alleged victim tried screaming at least ? Aiyoh so many questions. So susahlah!
What happens next after the lodging of the report against this Anwar chap takes the cake I think. Our very loyal boys in blue is reported to have spent almost 5 hours at the alleged scene of the crime trying to comb for evidence. I wonder what were they trying to uncover/discover ? Again I am no expert on the finer points of sodomy but wouldn't any material evidence be gone by now ? Maybe they know something that I don't knowlah. Sigh, if only the boys in blue are as efficient in all other cases as well.
Anyway lets see what else happens in Bolehland next!
Cheers,
M V Nathan
