Are the pictures below for real ? Did they really get hurt at Bandar Mahkota Cheras recently?

Agony of pain!

The above pictures are very disturbing. They are very gory and I am sorry should you be disturbed by it. I have been told that these pictures were taken recently at Bandar Mahkota Cheras. Well personally I cant vouch that these pictures are genuine. In fact in my heart of hearts I am praying that these pictures turn out to be hoaxes. I have to confess that I obtained these pictures from other blogs and am not in a position to verify the authenticity of these pictures.

But at the same time I cant help but wonder , what if the pictures are real? What kind of world do we live in? Why must we resort to violence ? Why cant we resolve matters amicably ? Cant people talk anymore ? Are our ears deaf to the plight of others ? Is everything about money these days ? Have we lost compassion and all sense of humanity?

It appears that there are many allegations that are being bandied about against our boys in blue. You know who... Anyway, some say that they were in cohorts with certain people to continue strife. Some say they were there to ensure that the big and powerful were protected. Even thugs are said to be employed by certain people to intimidate and cause mischief. Some even say that people got hurt... seriously hurt!

Whatever it is I am praying that this problem in Bandar Mahkota Cheras is resolved real soon. Rising costs are hurting everyone everywhere. Why cant the Highway operator be a little charitable and generous ? Is that too much to ask? Why does it always have to be profits first and plight of the average man last? Why are the powers that be in this country allowing this matter to go on for so long ? Does anyone care anymore ?

Praying that common sense shall prevail in the end.

Yang Berhormat or Yang Biadap ?

"That's down right rude I tell you!"

I am confused! Now why is it that we have to call these people Yang Berhormat? They literally begged us to put them in Parliament and when elected we have to call them "Yang Berhormat". Yet every day we read in the papers how some of these so called YB's behave like very spoilt, rude and obnoxious kids! Yang Berhormat? Pheww... Yucks.. The way these people behave they ought to be called "Yang Biadap!" or even "Yang Amat Biadap!". Instead of raising and debating issues that affect the people, these people embarrass and disgust us with their antics. Watch the link below and feel free to be disgusted!!! On another matter my heart goes out to all those residents in that area of Cheras that is called Bandar Mahkota Cheras! Wow! Isnt that such a nice name? Well the name does not quite do justice to the problems affecting the residents there presently. No Mahkota herelah!!! Residents found out rather belatedly that they are not even remotely entitled to that royal name. No crown Jewels here I tell you!Well it appears that even thugs are beating them up, if you believe certain reports... Of course if you really are members of royalty this wouldn't happen.. would it now? I am digressing. My point is, why on earth is this problem being allowed to go on ? Is the current turmoil going to turn really ugly soon? Why are the powers that be, being very quiet about this problem? Surely the stalemate cant go on. Something must be done soon. To the powers that be in the country, from the YAB Prime Minister to all his merry men....Solve this problem quick. And Yo!, all you YB's in Parliament are you paying attention..... ?

Me... I am not holding my breath in anticipation!

Why ?

WHY ?

To the Deputy Higher Education Minister all I can say at the moment is ... Why? Why did you have to use a language that you did not have sufficient proficiency (if at all!) in Parliament ? Why ? I just don't get it. It is rather silly I tell you. Are you also not aware that you are supposed to use the National Language in Parliament? It is things like this that turn people off!.Mind you, you are a deputy Minister of Higher Education! What kind of example are you trying to show to the young under your care! Shame on you! Enough said !!!

Moving on... something rather "interesting" caught my eye this morning in the NST. I like reading the NST I tell you. It is full of laughs! Anyway if you had seen the NST you would have seen a picture of our PM coming back from Japan.I had Deja Vu when I saw that picture. I would have seen the same picture a zillion times before with the former PM (Tun of course) receiving the same kind of greeting. Some things just dont change do they? People lining up to kiss your hands as soon as you get home. It is reported that a thousand people were there to greet our PM when he got back! This was when I started wondering... look the PM leaves the country from time to time to do his job, so why the need to organise such a lavish welcome every time? Dont these people have anything better to do? Some like the CM of my home state drove all the way from Melaka to welcome the PM back! Mr CM didnt you have other better things to do?... Like running a state! I wonder how many in the public gathering were there out of genuine love and concern for the welfare of our PM? Or were they there just to prove loyalty and to curry for favours? I dont know... just thinking out aloud here! One more thing the NST makes no mention was, if there had been a police permit applied for the said gathering. Was one applied for ? I am sure they would have applied for one.They must have. They are after all, the guardians of public law and order!!!

Free them or charge them in court!

Free all the ISA detainees

To me the ISA is one very draconian and archaic piece of legislation. As a matter of fact the ISA should have been abolished a long time ago. I have been saying this for a long time now. It is not because of HINDRAF or any other groups that I am saying this now. This law is cruel and if I may add is actually a very uncivilised piece of legislation.

I am of the humble opinion that any person accused of doing any wrong is entitled to be tried in open court in a fair and just manner. To do otherwise would be harsh, unjust and in gross breach of the principles of natural justice.

Our government continues to use the ISA on persons accused of undermining the security of the nation. This government justifies the use of the ISA as a necessary tool to ensure the peace and stability of this country. I cant disagree more. History has shown that many of the ISA detainees in this country were detained for their differences in political ideology. Ask any man on the street and chances are you would get that answer!

There are many horror stories told about detention under the ISA; especially under the 60 days period where many are abused and alleged to be tortured. I have met the wife of one ISA detainee who claims that her husband is today paralysed and is in a wheelchair today as a result of torture!!! This case was reported in the NST recently.

I say abolish the ISA. What say you?

What's with the race issues?

Breaking free!!! Victorious over the divides of race!

Why are some of us so preoccupied with race issues? Really sad I tell you. After 50 years of Independence and we are still harping on the same issues. I think we as a nation have not progressed in many aspects; especially issues regarding race and religion. I may be wrong here but I think it is only the politicians that continually harp the race issues. I do not think the average Ah Seng, Samy and Ahmad on the street talks about these issues when they have their teh tarik and roti chanai together. Do they?

I think most people today talk about the rising costs of living and how prices of food stuff are affecting them. It is an undeniable fact that the prices of almost every necessity of life had gone up! Everywhere I go people of all races are talking about the same thing; rising costs and how it is affecting them!

This matter should be the concern of our politicians. This should be the paramount concern of politicians and the powers that be, if they are to have any relevance any more. What is the point of talking about the superiority of one race or the special privileges of any given race when he or she has no food on the table! When someone can't afford to get proper medical care for want of funds what is the point of telling him he has special rights under the constitution?

We have to start thinking out of the box and make Malaysia a wonderful home for all of us. Together we can. We must! Do we have a choice?

Plans for VVIP graves?

really coconuts I tell you!

I almost choked on my roti chanai this morning. Well it appears that there is a plan for a National Mausoleum near the National Monument ! It's real I am not making it up. Please refer to the NST at page 13 under the column "Parliament in brief".

Now immediately a few questions come to mind.

1) Just who are these VVIP's anyway?

2)What have they done to deserve this prime land resting place?

3)Who decides who these VVIP's are?

4)What is the cost of this very "noble" plan?

5)Was this "noble" plan ever mooted to the people of this country?

Now why is it that we Malaysians are so fixated with these so called "VVIP"s anyway? When we drive our cars we have to give way to some VVIP and his/her entourage so that the particular VVIP would not be late to cut some ribbon or release some balloons some where. When there are functions we wait for some VVIP to turn up to "grace" the occasion. More often than not the so called VVIP's turn up late and dont even bother to apologise. I can go on but I think I will not.

Anyway the point I am trying to make is this; wouldn't the money about to be spent on this "noble" project be better reserved for something more deserving? Lets say buying more dialysis machines for starters. Maybe the money can be used for the many deserving cases where medical funds are needed. Or maybe we can even use the money to buy computers and teaching materials for needy kids. Feeding the poor and hungry?I can think think of a million ways to spend the money more wisely.

Look the reality of the situation is this. We all die. Only a matter of time. So lets not waste money on grandeur monuments for the dead! It is the living that need the funds more than the dead! Chances are the VVIP's can already afford to make their own grand mausoleums!!!

Dr M has resigned from UMNO

I don't get it. I just don't get it! Why is this 83 year old man still hogging the news? Look the man is almost a century old. Well almost... so why are we still so intrigued with this man? The answer is simply because he had ruled Malaysia with an "iron fist"before. He still commands fear in many quarters. Many are still in awe of this man I think.

I think we have to move on. If he wants to resign from UMNO so be itlah. Let him be. He has "served" the nation for a long time now. Cukuplah! Time to concentrate on how to repair the damage of the Mahathir years. The judiciary is a place to start. The work has just begun so lets get cracking at it. Let the old man ramble on. Pay no heed to him.

We need to do so much so lets not get distracted by this one man and his silly antics. Lets move on and spur this wonderful nation of ours to greater heights.

Happy Wesak

Today is a very significant day for Buddhists the world over. It is Wesak day. It is also known as Buddha day or Buddha Purnima day. Today Lord Buddha was born, gained his enlightenment and finally passed away in to Maha Parinibbana at the age of eighty. The Buddha's message of peace and compassion seems ever so relevant in a world that to me appears to be on self destruct mode. There is so much pain and suffering in the world today. Some are natural but most are man made.

Together I believe we can all make a change in this world. Each little effort that we put in to promote peace and harmony makes a difference. Together we can achieve so much. Together we can make a difference.

The Royal Commission's findings

Well if you have read any of the mainstream papers today, I am sure you would have noticed that the findings of the Royal Commission of Inquiry have been made public. Well done government of Malaysia. We the rakyat would have demanded nothing less. Maybe there is hope after all. Anyway if you have read the NST at page 4 under the column "WHAT THEY SAY" there is this quote of the present Education Minister. You know he was one of the flers who is infamous for waving his keris around at some meeting. For the record he has since apologised. Well not quite I think... well he did... and then qualified it.. So I dont knowlah. Well he may have , lets just leave it at that.

Anyway this was his quote " There should be no pre judging of any person. We do not want to penalise or pre judge anybody. Due process must be made available to them. They must not be pre-judged guilty". I couldn't help but smile when I read that. In fact I had wanted to burst out laughing.I would have expected him to be reported in the NST as to have been seen waving his keris about and demanding that the fiasco be investigated immediately and for charges to be brought against those responsible for this national shame. Ha-ha!!

I say that the only way we can move forward is to close this dark chapter in our nation's history. To do this our judicial system needs to be restored to its former glory. That would necessarily mean for a fair, thorough and expeditious investigation to be carried out into this fiasco. When the perpetrators are found the only recourse then would be to charge them in a court of law. We the Rakyat should demand nothing less I think.

My first time at blogging

Wow, I really cant believe it. Me a blogger. Wow! Cool dude. I am sure that would be the response from my boys. Ha-ha! You see I am such a dinosaur when it comes to computers. Anyway I wonder what i am going to write about now that i have started.I had so many things that I had wanted to say and for some reason now, none comes to mind. Ha-ha!!! Really i have no idea as to what i am going to write about first. Let me think about it and I am sure i will get cracking soon on this.
