The new plaque under the tree? Would this have been allowed ?I wonder why the big fuss over a small plaque to commemorate the site of having the world's first State assembly meeting under a tree? Just why do some people keep wanting to vandalise something as trivial as that ? Just why is the Ipoh City Council being so vigilant against the putting up of such a plaque ? If you go round the country you would notice many Ah Long's posters/stickers offering money lending transactions stuck on signboards and post boxes. Why the lack of fervour and zeal to remove those ? Oh ya......Ah Long give service what..
The answer is quite obvious isn't it ? The longer the plaque remains standing the more the conscience of some people gets pricked. They cant tolerate the plaque for it states the truth! The plaque would have been better if had the following words on it " Herein lies Democracy. Some never wanted to see it live and prosper. " Pity!
Did you read what the future PM's wife had to say recently ? Hmmmm.... "It's his right". Hmmmm ..... His right ? Shouldn't it be the people's right as to who they want to lead the nation ? Me - I rather have Pak Lah any day then have Mr Najib as PM of this nation. Lets just say that Mr Najib has yet to convince me on many issues.
