What can we do ?

The one people called the Mahatma ( Great Soul ).

"It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.” - Mahatma Gandhi

I truly believe that together we can. If all of us were to be united in opposing this law called the ISA then I believe it will happen. Sooner or later this government has to take notice and do the right thing. This cruel and unjust law simply has to go. There are no two ways about it. As The Mahatma had said "... if you do nothing, there will be no result".

What can we do,you ask ?

I have some suggestions.

1) Write to your MP and state your views on the ISA.

2) Send your MP an sms on the issue. Flood his/her phone with such messages.

3) Call your MP directly.

5) Continue the discussions everywhere. Don't let it stop.

6) Write letters to local newspapers, magazines etc...

7) Send abolish ISA postcards to the PM, DPM and Home Minister. Lets flood their offices with such postcards.

8) Wear T-shirts that support the ISA abolishment

9) Organise petitions calling for the abolishment of the ISA

10) Finally, do the "Hartal". We shall pick one day and just stay home. Just that. Stay home. No going to the office, shopping, market, kedai kopi ... nothing. Just stay home for 24 hours. This is what is called Civil Disobedience. All of us have to do it together. Together we can!

We can put this barbaric, inhumane, uncivilised piece of law in to the dust bin. We must.

Do we have a choice ?
