Hazy days are back !

What is the government doing about this haze menace ?

I dread the dry season. It is the time of the year when the haze rears its ugly head again. This haze phenomenon is a recurring yearly event in Malaysia. I tell you why I dread this haze thing. Both my sons have been diagnosed with asthma since very young, in fact ever since they were babies. (The older of the two boys is more prone to asthma attacks.) The haze once it makes its yearly appearance makes me shiver with fear. This haze simply makes the asthma attacks more frequent and more persistent.
I can't understand this haze thing. It has been going on for years and there seems to be no end in sight with this problem. Every time the haze comes back the politicians give out the same old excuses/cerita as to why it is happening. "Oh it is the forest fires lah!" "Peat fires in Sumatra" The fires in Indonesia " blah, blah,blah..... "Stay indoors, no out door activities" "drink lots of water" blah,blah.... Year in year out you hear the same things. " We are doing all we can to help indonesia" " Our Malaysian companies are not responsible for open burning" blah,blah.... Ya right!!!
Come on lah you Gomen people. Do something once and for all to rid us of this problem once and for all. Not only can't we afford to eat or drive these days we also can't get clean air to breathe these days. Terrible state of affairs! Surely there must be a way to solve this yearly recurring problem. Any ideas people?
Maybe we should sue the Malaysian/Indonesian government for failing in its duty to provide clean air for its citizenry ?
