Merdeka month again!

My flag is flying up side down this year!

I am in solidarity with a few other bloggers in "flying the flag up side down" this year. Speaking of year, what a year it has been. Simply amazing. The events since January this year has been simply amazing I tell you. Anyway, these are my reasons for wanting to fly the flag upside down this year for Merdeka (my list is not listed in priority) :-

1) Lack of respect from the powers that be for human rights in this country;

2) Escalating fuel prices and other essential items;

3) A government that hasn't a clue as to how to govern the country;

4) Promotion of Malay rights instead of "Malaysian rights";

5) Total lack of understanding, tolerance and compassion for people of other than the Muslim faith in certain controversial cases;

6)The lack of political will on the part of the government to ensure that the Judiciary gets cleaned up;

7) The MRR2 fiasco;

8) The "A" murder trial;

9) A flip flop PM;

10) A Deputy PM that is "tainted";

11) The Polis Raja Di Malaysia "problem";

12) The Anwar sex allegations that never seems to end;

13) The ex PM who continues to rave and rant like how ex Dictators normally do;

14) The education policy that continues to produce "losers";

15) The lack of understanding and genuine unity amongst the races despite 51 years of independence;

16) The corruption and abuses of power that never seems to end;

17) The Haze ;

18) The mainstream media that lacks courage, professionalism and integrity;

19) The Mercedes vs Perdana debate by some Terengganu monkeys;

20) The YB's in Parliament that we should rightly address as Yang Biadap;

21) The blockade/closure of major roads on the "intelligence" that some people were planning a demonstration;

22) The "I siasat you and you siasat me" syndrome that never goes away;

23) A toothless ACA;

24) UMNO;

25) MIC;

26) MCA;

27) PPP;

28) Gerakan:

29) PKR;

30) PAS;

31) Malaysian Politicians in general

I can go on and on and on..... but I think I will stop here for now. The flag flying upside down is a distress signal should you not know. I am praying that the powers that be will notice this and take steps to remedy the problems that seem to plague this wonderful nation of ours.

Merdeka!!!

M V Nathan
