Some are just plain stupid lah !It amazes me how this government continues to be STUPID ! There I said it. This government is plain stupid. There I said it again! Look I say this because the government despite all its assurances to the whole world of not censoring the internet, has done just that. The MCMC (Malaysian Multimedia Communication and Multimedia Commission) has instructed all the 16 ISP providers to block all access and ban the site known as "Malaysia Today". Wah.... so crever !
What can I say if that is not plain stupid. You see this is where the cat and mouse games begin. The author of the site has just opened a mirror site to the former site. The mirror site is publishing the exact news that the MCMC/government doesn't want published. Hello.... you people sleeping or what ? Look all that banning is going to produce zero results. If at all, it makes you people look plain stupid. What.... Do I hear you want to ban that site as well ? Duh..!!!
Anyway the more important issue is this, What happened to all the assurances of the past ? What will happen to the Mutimedia Super Corridor that Malaysia wants promoted to the world ? Now the whole world knows that Malaysia went back on its word. Would Malaysia be reduced to be the laughing stock of the world ? (Lama sudah like that oh....! Thought i heard someone say that).
The Home Affairs Minister says the banning is warranted as the author continues to publish lies and continues to libel people. I say absolute rubbish! What nonsense. If the author had broken some law of the country then charge him in court for publishing false news. Ask the persons who had been defamed to sue for being defamed. Ban the site ? Duh...!!!!
To ban the site only gives credence to whatever that author of "Malaysia Today" is saying. Maybe the government takut the people will believe the "lies" as told by the author? To this I say " Berani kerana benar takut kerana salah "!!!
Mr Minister your logic is devoid of any merits. Absolute poppycock!
